Who is this man and why is he smiling? He is A.J., a member of Team Hope For The Warriors^™ and an Iraq war hero, and he's smiling because he is completing the 2009 Bataan Memorial Death March. If a 26.2 mile grueling hike doesn't sound like your idea of fun, keep in mind what it means to A.J. He is walking, and competing, and honoring, and, most importantly, achieving again despite setbacks from injuries received in Iraq. A.J. is smiling because he knows there is hope beyond recovery. That's what Hope For The Warriors^™ is all about.

Begun in 2006, Hope For The Warriors^™ is a national, non-profit organization that seeks to ensure that the sacrifices of wounded and fallen warriors and their families are never forgotten nor their needs unmet. Its goal is simple: to ensure "hope beyond recovery" for every wounded warrior from all branches of service.

Today, H4W offers support for those impacted by loss or injury from the original incident through Above and Beyond professional development training for those reentering the work force. Along the way, Hope For The Warriors^™ lends financial assistance for Immediate Needs, fulfills Warriors Wishes^™, sponsors Team Hope For The Warriors^™, organizes Hope and Morale events, offers Spouse Scholarships, coordinates a Warrior House and Resource Center, and supports caregivers through Family Support Programs.
